This visit follows the conclusion of the recent Egyptian-American Strategic Dialogue, which addressed key areas of cooperation, including security, defence, and the economy.
During the visit, Abdelatty is scheduled to meet with senior US officials, including congressional leaders and members of the Foreign Affairs, Armed Services, and Homeland Security Committees.
The visit will also include meetings with leaders of strategic think tanks, which play a crucial role in shaping US policy. In addition, Abdelatty will meet with the Egyptian diaspora in the United States to explore ways to support and strengthen ties with the community.
On Saturday, Abdelatty will travel to New York to head the high-level Egyptian delegation at the United Nations General Assembly.
While in New York, Abdelatty will meet with UN officials to discuss regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue and the situation in Libya, as well as topics related to regional security and peace in the Middle East.
The visit aims to enhance Egyptian-American cooperation in various fields, including supporting Egypt's efforts to stabilize the region and combat terrorism, while also exploring ways to boost economic collaboration and attract more US investments to Egypt.
