According to the EPL, the new season will adopt a single-round format involving all 18 clubs, with the top nine teams proceeding to compete for the title in another single round.
The remaining clubs will battle to determine the two teams to be relegated.
The EPL have decided to reduce the number of relegated teams from three to two.
This adjustment means that the upcoming season will span 25 weeks instead of the traditional 34, effectively shortening the season by around two months.
In recent seasons, the Egyptian league has experienced delays and postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to extended seasons that did not conclude on time, impacting various clubs.
Furthermore, the EPL announced that a specialized German company has been tasked with organizing and scheduling the competition's fixtures, although the company's name was not disclosed.
The draw for the upcoming season is scheduled to take place in the first week of October.
The EPL have not yet announced the start date for the upcoming season.
