The Pharaohs now hold the third position in Africa, trailing behind Morocco and Senegal, and the second in the Arab world.
The team's recent success can be credited to their impressive performance during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, where they secured victories against Cape Verde and Botswana in the last international break.
Egypt had previously broken into the global top 10 after clinching three consecutive Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
They will play against Mauritania in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday, 11 October in Cairo.
Morocco has maintained its 14th position, solidifying its standing as the top-ranked African team, while Senegal has dropped two places to 21st.
Argentina, France, and Spain have retained their positions at the summit of the world rankings.
However, Qatar experienced the most significant decline, slipping 10 places to 44th.
Meanwhile, Brunei Darussalam achieved a noteworthy feat by rising seven spots to reach 183rd in the rankings.
