PM Madbouly appoints CBE governor Abdalla as Egypt representative in 3 int’l financial institutions
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly appointed Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) governor Hassan Abdalla as the country's representative in three International Financial Institutions (IFIs), including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), African Development Bank, and the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF).

This was based on the prime ministerial decree No. 2675 for 2024, according to the official gazette.
Earlier in August, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree to renew the tenure of Hassan Abdalla as acting governor of the CBE for a third term.
More appointments
On another note, PM Madbouly also appointed Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat as a governor representing Egypt in the World Bank and deputy governor representing Egypt in the African Development Bank.
Madbouly also appointed Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan ElKhatib as deputy governor at the World Bank and Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk as deputy governor at the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA).
