Forward Tyler-Jay Dibling swiftly put hosts Southampton in the lead just five minutes into the match, setting the stage for a tense battle.

However, Morsy's late equalizer during injury time salvaged a 1-1 draw for Ipswich Town, ensuring they left with a valuable point.

The 33-year-old midfielder recently reaffirmed his commitment to Ipswich Town by penning a new contract that ties him to Portman Road until the summer of 2026.

Morsy's presence has been instrumental in the Tractor Boys' recent accomplishments, notably guiding the team to consecutive promotions from League One to the Premier League last season.

Recognizing his significant contributions, Ipswich Town fans honoured Morsy by selecting him as the club's Men's Player of the Year in the previous season.

With Morsy's influential presence on the field, Ipswich Town currently sits in 17th place in the league standings, having amassed three points from their first five matches of the season.
