"Due to the ongoing events in Lebanon, EGYPTAIR has decided to cancel its flights from Cairo to Beirut, Tuesday, 24 September," stated the Egyptian national carrier.
Additionally, EgyptAir indicated that the cancellations include “Flight MS713, scheduled to depart at 5:00 AM,” and “Flight MS709, scheduled for 9:15 AM,” emphasizing that these cancellations "will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes."
The Egyptian national carrier also designated a hotline (1717) and a landline (090070000) for local clients to review their tickets and either +97142306666 or +966122297777 for international clients.
In the past 24 hours, amid fears of a broader conflict in the Middle East following extensive Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon on Monday, international airlines suspended flights to Lebanon and the region and rerouted flights to avoid affected airspace.
On Tuesday, the Lebanese health ministry said at least 558 people, including 50 children, have been killed and over 1,835 others injured since Israel launched intense airstrikes the country.
