Since Monday, the UN's International Organization for Migration (IOM) has recorded "90,530 newly displaced persons" in Lebanon, a statement said.
It added that nearly 40,000 of them are sheltering in 283 sites.
"Since this morning, 51 people have lost their lives and 223 have been injured in various strikes," marking the third day of extensive Israeli airstrikes across the country, Lebanese Minister of Health Firass Abiad told reporters during a news conference in Beirut on Wednesday.
The UN Security Council scheduled an emergency meeting on Lebanon for Wednesday at the request of France.
Hundreds of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in the past 72 hours have killed more than 600 and wounded hundreds others, with one quarter of them women and children, in the eastern and southern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced targetting a building affiliated with the Mossad in Tel Aviv with Qader-1 missile, in the first such use of the high-precise missile since the start of confrontations between the group and Israel on 8 October 2023.
Moreover, Israeli authorities confirmed that a drone struck in the port of Eilat in southern Israel, an attack claimed by the Iraq-based Islamic Resistance group, according to Al Jazeera.
Families fleeing the escalating conflict in Lebanon poured into Syria in growing numbers on Wednesday, waiting for hours in heavy traffic to reach the relative safety of another war-torn country, according to AP.
UN officials estimated that thousands of Lebanese and Syrian families had already made the journey.

Lines of buses and cars extended for several kilometers (miles) from the Syria border beginning on Monday, and some families were seen making the journey on foot. Once in Syria, people waited hours more to be processed by overwhelmed border officials, and relief workers handed out food, water, mattresses and blankets.
“Many will have to spend the night outdoors waiting their turn,” Rula Amin, a spokesperson for the UN's refugee agency, said in a statement.
