"It's different from any other match, and I hope we can make history," forward Wessam Abou Ali told Ahly's official website.
Rami Rabia, aiming to contribute both defensively and offensively, added, "My main role is to ensure we don’t concede, but I hope to score as well, just like in past matches."
"Everyone is focused on winning the Super Cup, and we're determined not to repeat last year's loss." Mohamed Hany said emphasising team unity.
"Our mindset and physical condition are stronger after recent matches, and we’re fully focused on winning." Amr El-Sulaya added.
The African Super Cup, contested between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup, will be held at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
