Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, governors, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and commanders of the Armed Forces, among others, also attended the project's main phase.
According to the statement, Major General Hesham Shendy, Commander of the Third Field Army, stressed in a speech the commitment of the Third Field Army personnel to reach the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness to carry out all the tasks assigned to them with efficiency and competence.
Shendy also asserted the Third Field Army’s commitment to spare no effort to preserve the security and safety of the homeland.
The statement explained that the stage began with a presentation of a summary of the tactical idea of the project stages and a summary of previous work. The main stage also included managing combat operations to develop the attack with the assistance of Air Force personnel, who carried out reconnaissance, security and assistance sorties.
According to the statement, these sorties aimed to provide combat operations with cover from air defence means and artillery to destroy the enemy's defences, obstruct the advance of reserves, and confuse and destroy the enemy's command and control centres.
Furthermore, the military spokesman explained in his statement that the phase witnessed the deployment of armoured and mechanical elements to penetrate the enemy's defences, engage with them, and destroy them with assistance from armed helicopters and anti-tank-guided projectiles to confront the enemy's counterattacks.
Parachutes and Thunderbolt (Sa'aka) Forces carried out landing and raiding operations to destroy discovered targets during the project’s main phase, and administrative, medical and specialized systems were also deployed to increase technical efficiency, added the military spokesman in his statement.
Furthermore, the spokesman noted that all participating weapons and specializations demonstrated their high field and combat skills and ability to deal with field targets and hit them from fixed and moving positions.
In addition, they showed proficiency in managing combat operations, demonstrating their ability to swiftly identify and deal with enemy targets at the specified time and place.
At the end of the stage, Saqr, according to the spokesman, conveyed greetings and appreciation from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi for the efforts of the men of the Armed Forces to carry out all the tasks assigned to them and discussed with commanders and officers participating in the project the method of implementing their tasks and how they make decisions to confront sudden changes while managing operations.
Furthermore, Saqr praised the distinguished performance and high combat readiness of the military elements participating in the project, stressing the Armed Forces' capability to protect the homeland and preserve its sanctities amid the current regional challenges.
According to the statement, Saqr added that the activities and training missions implemented during the project send a message of reassurance to the Egyptian people about their Armed Forces' permanent combat readiness to protect national security in all strategic directions.
Similarly, Chief-of-Staff Ahmed Khalifa witnessed one of the project stages, which included implementing combat operations to storm the front line of the enemy's defences with the assistance of the Air Force.
According to the statement, Khalifa also discussed with leaders and officers participating in the project methods of planning and managing missions and ways to deal with emergency tactical situations that may arise during the implementation of the project stages.
