Egypt has all capabilities to become a leader in pharmaceuticals: Egyptian Drug City chief

Dr Amr Mamdouh, Chairman of Egyptian Drug City, stressed that one of the most important pillars of the pharmaceutical industry is supporting the national security of the country.

During his chairmanship of the fourth session of the Fourth Al-Ahram Pharmaceutical Conference, Dr. Mamdouh emphasized that Egypt possesses all the necessary components to position itself as a leader in the pharmaceutical industry.

He highlighted that the critical importance of localizing pharmaceutical manufacturing in Egypt became evident after the 2019 COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Mamdouh added that Egypt has the qualifications and resources to localize industries of all kinds, particularly pharmaceuticals and related industries.
