Labib shared during a television program on Sunday, "We are in the process of planning a friendly encounter with Real Madrid, with the support of Turki Al Shiekh."

Following a thrilling victory over arch-rivals Ahly in Riyadh on Friday, where Zamalek clinched the African Super Cup title in a penalty shootout, the White Knights are now eyeing a potential friendly clash with the European giants.

"Zamalek, the African Super Cup champions, and Real Madrid, holders of the European Super Cup, both embody royalty within their respective nations. It is this regal connection that motivates us to pursue a friendly match with them," added the Zamalek chairman.

Zamalek's dramatic 4-3 triumph on penalties secured their fifth African Super Cup triumph, serving as a significant morale boost as they set their sights on further silverware in the upcoming 2024 season.

Egyptian powerhouse Ahly encountered Real Madrid twice, securing a 1-0 victory in a friendly match held in Cairo in 2001.

However, their fortunes shifted as they succumbed to a 4-1 defeat in the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup in the subsequent encounter.
