According to the public broadcaster Kan, the two gunmen involved in the attack disembarked from the city’s light rail on Jerusalem Boulevard, a major thoroughfare.

They opened fire on passengers and bystanders near the light rail station, resulting in six fatalities and nine injuries, with four individuals in critical condition.

Videos and photos circulating on social media captured the gunmen exiting a train car.

Israeli police confirmed that both assailants who carried out the shooting have been killed.
