This came during a phone call, where both sides condemned the Israeli aggression on Lebanon that resulted in hundreds of casualties, reaffirming their full solidarity with Lebanon and its people under the ongoing Israeli aggression.
They stressed the importance of providing all means of humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people and empowering the Lebanese state and its institutions to carry out their duties and extend their sovereignty over its territories.
Furthermore, both ministers expressed their firm rejection of any arrangements or measures that could undermine Lebanon’s security and sovereignty over its territories.
Additionally, they warned of the dangers of continued escalation on the region’s peoples, underscoring the importance of implementing the UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701 by all parties.
During the call, both sides also called on the international community, particularly the UNSC, to fulfil its responsibilities and ensure an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
They further affirmed the ongoing coordination and consultation between the Egyptian and Saudi sides to address the risks facing the Arab region due to Israeli aggression on the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
The call comes amid the increasing tensions in the Middle East and the brutal Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, raising concerns about the possibility of a full-scale regional conflict.
