An Israeli airstrike on Sunday morning on a mosque converted into a shelter in Deir al-Balah killed 21 people and wounded tens of others, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense Agency.

In its statement, the foreign ministry also denounced all massacres perpetrated by the Israeli army in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the massacre at the Tulkarem camp in the northern West Bank three nights ago.

On Thursday evening, Israeli airstrikes killed at least 18 Palestinians in the Tulkarem refugee camp, marking the first use of Israel's air force against the occupied territories since the 2000-2002 Palestinian intifada.

Furthermore, the foreign ministry condemned the massacres resulting from airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and other areas in Lebanon.

Cairo reaffirms its full support for UN institutions working in challenging circumstances, especially the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), added the statement.

It also stressed the crucial role of these institutions in supporting humanitarian efforts and restoring calm, stability, and security.

Since 16 September, intense Israeli airstrikes on Dahiya in southern Beirut and other parts of Lebanon killed more than 1,400 and wounded more than 10,000, and left more than 1.2 million displaced.

Israeli strikes killed 23 people and wounded 93 others across Lebanon on Saturday, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
