The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate headquarters on Monday.
The summit aligns with Egypt's commitment to environmental protection and sustainability, particularly in electric transportation.
EVs Electrify Egypt Summit, represented by its president Mohamed Elsaidy, and the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, represented by Egyptian Engineers Syndicate Head Tarek El-Nabarawy, signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the summit.
During the conference, Elsaidy stated that the summit would showcase the latest electric vehicles and transportation technologies. "We are pleased to announce the launching of EVs Electrify Egypt Summit, which will serve as a crucial platform for sharing expertise and knowledge in the electric mobility sector," he added.
The summit is supported by various ministries and governmental agencies, including the Egyptian Cabinet, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), the National Authority for Management and Investment, the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association, the Electronics Research Institute, and the Scientific & Technology Park for Electronics Research and Industry (STPERI).
"This collaboration will help us develop the skills of our engineers in electric transportation, benefiting the Egyptian labour market and strengthening Egypt's leadership in renewable energy and sustainable transport," stated El-Nabarawy.
