Eintracht Frankfurt have shown readiness to part with Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush for a fee between 50 and 60 million euros, according to Sport Bild.

Marmoush, who joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in the summer, has quickly become the club's top scorer this season with 10 goals, sparking interest from Premier League giants, such as Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle United, and Arsenal.

Frankfurt's willingness to negotiate comes despite a thin squad in the striker department, suggesting they would prefer retaining Marmoush unless significant offers are tabled.

The club has a history of securing lucrative deals for their star players, having previously sold Randal Kolo Muani to PSG for 95 million euros, Luka Jovic to Real Madrid for 63 million euros, and Sebastien Haller to West Ham for 50 million euros.

The 25-year-old Marmoush's stellar performance has caught not only the eye of top European clubs but also his teammate Mo Dahoud, who compares Marmoush's capabilities to that of Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

"With his finishing and technique, he’s nearly as good," Dahoud remarked, highlighting Marmoush's impact in the Bundesliga.

Marmoush, whose contract with Frankfurt runs until 2027, has been pivotal in pushing the club to third in the Bundesliga standings this season.

His dream move to the Premier League could see him follow in the footsteps of his idol Mohamed Salah, who also made his mark in the league with Liverpool.

While Frankfurt is not keen on a winter transfer, the club acknowledges that no player is indispensable. It always depends on the situation.

“Players are meant to evolve here, and when it’s time for the next step, it’s a natural progression,” said Markus Krösche, Frankfurt's sports director.

Amidst the growing interest in Omar Marmoush, Liverpool's situation with Mohamed Salah could significantly impact their pursuit. Salah, a linchpin of Liverpool's attack since his arrival in 2017, finds his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Despite his historical contribution of 217 goals and 94 assists, negotiations for an extension have stalled. With the ability to sign a pre-contract with other clubs starting 1 January, Salah's future at Anfield is increasingly uncertain.

Liverpool's management, facing the potential exit of one of their most prolific scorers, is under pressure to secure top-tier talent to maintain their competitive edge.

In response to the potential gap Salah might leave, Liverpool's coach Arne Slot views Marmoush as a prime candidate to bolster the Reds' attacking lineup.

Slot, known for his strategic foresight, believes Marmoush's dynamic playstyle and proven scoring ability in the Bundesliga could seamlessly fit into Liverpool's fast-paced offensive scheme.

The club is reportedly ready to aggressively pursue Marmoush, recognizing his potential to not only fill Salah's shoes but also to carve out his legacy at Anfield.

With Marmoush also expressing a preference for Liverpool over other interested clubs, like West Ham, the stage is set for high-stakes negotiations that could see the Egyptian striker stepping into the Premier League spotlight as Salah's direct successor.

Marmoush rise from Cairo to Bundesliga Stardom

Omar Marmoush's journey in professional football began in Cairo, Egypt, where he was born in February 1999. His early career saw him making his debut for Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League in July 2016, quickly followed by his first goal in a December Egypt Cup match.

His promising start led him to Germany, where he joined Wolfsburg in August 2017, initially playing for the reserve team.

Marmoush made significant strides forward, debuting for Wolfsburg’s first team in a Bundesliga match in May 2020 and signing his first professional contract a month later. His European debut came in August 2020 in a Europa League match.

In 2021, Marmoush was loaned out twice: first to St Pauli and then to Stuttgart, where he impressed with a last-minute equalizer on his debut, earning the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Month award.

Internationally, Marmoush made his debut for Egypt in October 2021 and participated in all matches during the Africa Cup of Nations in December 2021. His performance secured him another Rookie of the Month award in March 2022.

After being reintegrated into Wolfsburg, he marked his return with his first goal for the club in a German Cup match in July 2022.

In January 2023, Marmoush featured in his second AFCON tournament. His journey took another turn when Eintracht Frankfurt acquired him on a free transfer in May 2023. Marmoush quickly adapted, scoring in his debut for Frankfurt in the German Cup and Bundesliga in August 2023 and adding his first European goal in September 2023.

By May 2024, he ended his debut season at Frankfurt with a personal best of 17 goals. He continued his impressive form into the next season, scoring in five consecutive Bundesliga matches before the international break in October 2024.
