At UAE’s Al Nahyan Stadium, Egypt Cup winners Pyramids FC will face rivals Zamalek who snagged a spot in the tournament semis with a wild card entry.
“We came to UAE with 25 players and I think we have 90 percent of our regular squad. Preparations are going well,” Soliman told ON Time Sports TV channel early on Saturday.
“Pyramids FC is a strong team with a high spending power and plenty of good foreign players. Fans attendance will play a key role in our favour,” he added.
Zamalek are enjoying a morale boost after their recent triumph in the African Super Cup against Ahly. According to Soliman, the mission will be easier at the domestic level.
“We won the African Super Cup title that comes in superior level and now we are playing in the domestic Super Cup that comes in a little bit lower level. We hope that we will be lucky again in the UAE to secure more victories,” he concluded.
Zamalek are making their 12th appearance in the Super Cup after missing last year's edition. Meanwhile, Pyramids FC, appearing for the third consecutive time, seek their maiden Super Cup triumph.
The competition will culminate in the final, with the third-place match scheduled for 24 October.
