A late header by substitute Youssef 'Obama' Ibrahim was disallowed after a VAR review, leading to Zamalek's eventual triumph in the penalty shootout with a 5-4 victory.

In the final Zamalek will face the winner of the game between Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra on Thursday 24 October.
