El-Sisi made these remarks during his speech at the BRICS Plus/Outreach format meeting in Kazan, Russia.
Almost 40 countries, including the 10-member BRICS group besides the countries friendly to the BRICS and influential international organizations, are attending the meeting.
During the meeting, El-Sisi noted that Egypt has consistently urged fostering cooperation among developing countries.
He also emphasized Egypt's appreciation for the BRICS Plus Forum as a platform to enhance cooperation and dialogue between BRICS and countries of the Global South.
Moreover, the Egyptian president highlighted the necessity of maximizing the role of multilateral development banks to improve developing country's access to concessional financing, including climate finance.
He pointed out the crucial roles of the New Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in providing essential concessional funding for development projects across various sectors.
In addition, he underscored the importance of leveraging BRICS Plus meetings to foster South-South cooperation and enhance expertise sharing in diverse fields.
President El-Sisi also reiterated Egypt's commitment to advancing South-South cooperation and increasing knowledge exchange in various areas.
Furthermore, he expressed Egypt's willingness to engage in various technical cooperation and capacity-building projects with interested countries.
Cooperation and dialogue among developing countries are important to ensure the effectiveness of the international multilateral system and collectively address unilateral policies that threaten our countries' interests, El-Sisi affirmed.

Middle East crisis
In his speech at the BRICS Plus Summit, the Egyptian president emphasized that the Middle East crisis cannot be overlooked, given the current international crises and challenges.
El-Sisi also pointed out the dangerous consequences of the ongoing Israeli war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the spillover of these attacks into the Lebanese territories.
He stated that these actions reflect "the current state of our world and the international system's emptiness of principles and its double standards.” They prove the lack of accountability and justice due to the violations of international conventions and humanitarian laws.
He noted that this has resulted in an unprecedented humanitarian disaster and ongoing escalation of wars, underscoring the need for unified international efforts to halt these dangerous regional tensions and prevent a full-scale war.
The president added that the spillover of regional conflicts has detrimentally influenced navigation in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, disrupting international trade, threatening the stability of global supply chains, and affecting multiple countries.

Alternative financial mechanism
Commenting on President El-Sisi's speech at the Outreach/BRICS Plus session, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow counts on Egypt to play a significant role in promoting the BRICS work.
Putin asserted that Cairo is actively engaged within the BRICS bloc as a member who enjoys all the rights of BRICS membership.
Additionally, he emphasized the need to build reliable alternative multilateral financial mechanisms free from any dictates.
He also noted that the next wave of economic growth is emerging in the global majority's countries, making it the right time to create a platform that unlocks the potential of the BRICS nations' growing economies.
Moreover, Putin highlighted that shifting the world order to a more just one is being obstructed by forces that think and act in terms of dominance over "everyone and everything."
He also underscored Russia's efforts to stabilize the Middle East crises.
"We have always tried to make our significant contribution to the stabilization of the situation in the Middle East. That is why, from the very beginning of the escalation, together with BRICS members and other partners, we have been actively involved in efforts to resolve the conflict," Putin stated.
He added that the latest Israeli-Palestinian confrontations have become one of the bloodiest in a long series of clashes.
"I want to emphasize that we have always opposed and continue to oppose any terrorist manifestations," Putin declared.
The fighting that began in Gaza a year ago has now spread to Lebanon, affecting other countries in the region, and has sharply intensified the confrontation between Israel and Iran, the Russian president said.
"All this resembles a chain reaction and puts the entire Middle East on the brink of a full-scale war," Putin warned, stressing the necessity of launching a comprehensive political process for resolution in the Middle East.

Central pillar
For his part, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that BRICS Plus countries should serve as a central pillar of strength for common development.
In his remarks during the BRICS Plus leaders' dialogue, Xi Jinping noted that development has contributed to the rise and flourishing of the Global South.
"BRICS Plus countries should actively participate in and lead the reform of the global economic governance system and advocate for placing development at the core of the international trade and economic agenda," he added.
The Chinese president also stressed that the BRICS Plus countries should be a stabilizing force for peace, strengthen global security governance, and explore ways to address hotspot issues' symptoms and root causes.
He added that China will lead the establishment of a Global South think tank cooperation alliance.
Furthermore, China called for achieving a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to stop the war which is spreading to Lebanon.
"It is necessary to reload a two-state solution plan and prevent the war from spreading to Lebanon," Xi Jinping said.
