An informed Egyptian source told Al-Qahera News that the meeting is part of Egypt’s efforts to resume ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, aimed at enhancing the stability of the humanitarian and security conditions in the area.

The source also emphasized Egypt’s commitment to increasing the flow of humanitarian aid to support the people of Gaza, reaffirming that Cairo continues to provide aid and assistance to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people under the current circumstances.

Earlier Thursday, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani announced in a joint press conference in Doha with US State Secretary Anthony Blinken that the US, Egypt and Qatar have resumed efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal.

Israel’s Jerusalem Post also reported on Thursday that David Barnea, the head of Israel's Mossad, will travel to Doha early next week in an attempt to restart negotiations for a hostage release and ceasefire deal with several key figures, Israeli media reported.
