The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Egypt condemned all actions threatening regional security and stability, exacerbating an already tense situation, and increasing the intensity of the raging conflict.

According to the foreign ministry, Egypt warned of the risks of the current escalation, which could push the region intentionally or due to false estimates toward a dangerous confrontation that threatens regional and international security.

The ministry also reaffirmed its stance on the urgent need to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip through an agreement involving the release of captives and prisoners between Israelis and Palestinians, viewing this as the only way to de-escalate and establish the necessary truce in this critical regional situation.

Furthermore, Cairo reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon, emphasising the need to respect the country’s sovereignty over all its territories.

It also renewed its demand for respect for international law, international humanitarian law, and the United Nations Charter, stressing the importance of upholding national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

Early Saturday, Israel conducted air strikes against Iran, hitting some military infrastructure in response to Tehran's retaliatory attack in October.

Iran’s military said the strikes targeted military bases in Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran provinces, causing "limited damage."

Meanwhile, Israel has continued its brutal aggression against civilians in Gaza and Lebanon, raising wider fears of a full-scale regional war.
