Egyptian embassy in Greece celebrates Armed Forces Day

The Egyptian embassy in Greece celebrated the 51st anniversary of the Egyptian Armed Forces Day (6th of October 1973 victory) with high officials and diplomats at the Hellenic Armed Forces Officers’ Club in Athens on 24 October.

Colonel Magdy Radwan, the Egyptian Defence Attaché, and the Ambassador of Egypt to Greece Omar Amer Youssef received distinguished guests and foreign diplomats at the celebration.

The national Anthems of Egypt and Greece were played during the event.

The attendees included the Counselor Ahmed El-Ghoul, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Egyptian embassy in Greece; Lana Abo Zeid, a legal expert at the National Council for Women; George Kelliny, Consul of Egypt to Greece; and Souad Trabelsi, Ambassador of Tunisia to Greece.

“I would like to seize the opportunity of having this esteemed gathering, celebrating the anniversary of the glorious October victory, to pray to God Almighty that peace and security prevail,” said Colonel Radwan during the event.

“Considering the current delicate global circumstances, I call upon you to unite for the sake of stability and prosperity for our people.”

“Sincere greetings to the Egyptian Armed Forces and his Excellency President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Long live Egypt and long live the people of Egypt,” he added.
