The African Champions, Ahly, are scheduled to host their Asian counterparts, Al-Ain FC of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup at Cairo Stadium.
Aymen came off the bench in the dying minutes of the Egyptian Super Cup on Thursday, replacing defender Rami Rabie, who was forced off the field due to a muscle injury.
He suffered a mild concussion following a collision with Zamalek youth midfielder Mohamed El-Sayed during extra time.
Despite both players appearing unsteady, they managed to finish the match, which ended with Ahly prevailing 7-6 in a penalty shootout.
"Scans revealed that the player is in a stable condition," Ahly's doctor stated on the club's official website on Sunday.
"However, we are adhering to the Head Trauma Protocol, necessitating six days of rest post-trauma."
"As a result, he will be unavailable for the match against Al-Ain FC."
Aymen's absence rises Ahly's defensive problems, especially with the potential unavailability of veteran captain Rami Rabie, who is uncertain for the upcoming game.
Moroccan defender Achraf Dari started training with the team on Sunday but remains questionable for Tuesday's encounter.
These uncertainties leave Ahly coach Marcel Koller facing a selection dilemma, with only defender Yasser Ibrahim at his disposal for the match.
The 25-year-old joined Ahly last summer on a one-season loan deal from Qatari side Al-Duhail, making his debut appearance with the Red Devils during the Egyptian Super Cup.
