"Zizo has suffered a muscle tear injury and will require two weeks of rehabilitation before resuming full training and match participation," stated Zamalek's medical officer, Mohamed Osama, in an official announcement on Saturday.
"In addition, Mohamed Hamdi also suffered a torn knee ligament and will undergo a two-week rehabilitation period," added the team's doctor.
During the Egyptian Premier League match against NBE Club, Zizo, 28, was forced to exit the game in the 70th minute following the injury, while Hamdi, aged 21, had to leave during the first half due to a knee issue.

Zamalek clinched a thrilling 3-2 victory over NBE Club in the league opener, with Abdallah El-Said's stoppage-time penalty securing the win.
Nasser Maher opened the scoring for Zamalek, but Mohamed Helal equalized for NBE Club with a second-half penalty.
Substitute Nasser Mansi restored Zamalek's lead before Helal's second penalty set up a tense finale that was ultimately resolved by El-Said's decisive goal.
Zamalek currently holds the third position in the league standings, while NBE Club resides in 15th place.
In their upcoming fixture on Friday, Zamalek will square off against Smouha.
