According to the Egyptian Presidency, President El-Sisi emphasized in his meeting with al-Burhan Egypt's commitment to supporting Sudan on all fronts to help it overcome its current crisis. He reiterated Egypt's steadfast position advocating for a ceasefire and preserving Sudanese lives.
He also reviewed Egypt’s ongoing efforts at the regional and international levels to achieve these goals.
From his side, al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s constructive role, praising its sincere support for de-escalation efforts in Sudan.
He acknowledged Egypt’s dedication to preserving Sudan’s unity, security, and stability and expressed gratitude on behalf of himself and the Sudanese people for Egypt’s hospitality towards Sudanese during this crisis.
Meeting with Yemen’s presidential leadership council chairman
According to the Egyptian presidency, El-Sisi discussed recent developments in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea and ongoing efforts to restore the region’s stability with Yemen’s presidential leadership council chairman on the sidelines of the 12th United Nations World Urban Forum held in Cairo.
President Sisi underscored Egypt's unwavering support for Yemen's unity and stability and endorsed international efforts to achieve a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
He emphasized Yemen’s security and stability as pivotal for Egypt, noting Yemen's strategic role in regional security, particularly amid the ongoing tensions affecting the Arab region and the Red Sea.
President El-Sisi also outlined Egypt’s stance and detailed efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and alleviate regional tensions.
For his part, al-Alimi expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s sincere and continuous support for Yemen.
He emphasized the solid fraternal bonds between the two countries and expressed his eagerness to maintain close consultations and coordination with El-Sisi.
