Egypt bourse posts collective gains at close of Wednesday trading

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices posted collective gains at the close of Wednesday's trading session, prompted by purchases by Arab and foreign investment funds and sellouts by local institutions and Arab investors.

The market capital gained about EGP 26 billion to register EGP 2.241 trillion, amid total transactions of EGP 43.7 billion.
The EGX30 benchmark index increased by 0.82 percent, ending at 31,045.26 points.
The broader EGX70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) hiked by 1.08 percent, closing at 8,303.9 points.
The all-embracing EGX100 index also increased by 1.16 percent, settling at 11,445.85 points.
