Held annually on 5-7 November, WTM London is the world’s leading travel industry event. It brings together travel professionals, including tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and tourism experts.

Egypt’s 800-square-metre pavilion showcases 80 participants, including 38 tourism companies, 38 hotels, and two airlines: Air Cairo and Nesma.

Representatives from the Red Sea and South Sinai governorates and the Cultural Tourism Preservation Association are also participating to promote Egypt’s diverse tourism offerings.

On the opening day, the Egyptian pavilion attracted visitors for meetings, interactive activities, and films highlighting the country’s tourism.

After the inauguration, Minister Fathy toured the pavilion and discussed strategies for increasing tourism from the UK and worldwide with exhibitors, positioning Egypt as a top destination for diverse tourism experiences.

This year, the ministry promotes diverse tourism products and experiences to potential visitors.

Fathy is expected to participate in the ministerial summit organized by the UN World Tourism Organization in collaboration with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

Egyptian exhibitors expressed optimism about achieving higher tourism rates this year, citing the current increase in incoming tourism.

Modernized pavilion design

The exhibitors also expressed admiration for the new design of the Egyptian pavilion, which combines authenticity with modernity and presents Egypt as a tourism destination in a modern and fresh way.

Its exterior resembles the facade of an ancient Egyptian temple, with the Ankh symbol used as the pavilion’s logo. The interior offers intimate reception halls rather than traditional desks to facilitate a welcoming atmosphere.

Visitors can watch dynamic, interactive screens displaying videos and images of Egypt’s diverse tourism offerings.

Additional screens on the sides and facade feature promotional films about the country’s destinations and cultural assets.

The pavilion also includes VIP meeting rooms, spaces for cultural activities like Egyptian folklore performances, and displays of hieroglyphic name-writing on papyrus.

As a memorable touch, visitors receive small souvenirs, and a harpist plays pharaonic-themed music, creating an immersive Egyptian experience.
