Liverpool's Egyptian striker #11 Mohamed Salah celebrates after scoring their second goal during the English Premier League football match between Liverpool and Aston Villa at Anfield in Liverpool, north west England. AFP
"He's so good and so important for this team, I think we all know – not just for the team, for the club as well," Mac Allister told TNT Sports after the match.
"He's a legend here. So, [I'm] happy for him," he added.
Salah, 32, who set up Darwin Nunez’s opener with a precise pass, capped off the performance by slotting home Liverpool's second goal past Emiliano Martinez in the final minutes.
"When you have him, you know that he's going to deliver, he's going to get the numbers. We're happy that he's playing for us," Mac Allister expressed.
Under Liverpool's new coach Arne Slot, Salah has been a mainstay in the lineup this season, consistently scoring 10 goals and 10 assists in just 17 appearances.
Last season, he showcased similar brilliance, netting 25 goals in 44 matches across all competitions.
His performance continues to be a pivotal factor in Liverpool's success and their current title pursuit.
