The Pharaohs are set to clash with Cape Verde in the fifth round of the AFCON qualifiers this Friday.
Four days later, they will return home to host Botswana in the sixth round.
"The preparatory camp has seen intensive physical training sessions combined with tactical insights, all under the guidance of coach Hossam Hassan," the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) stated in a release on Monday.
Egypt have solidified their berth in the forthcoming tournament in Morocco. They currently top Group C with a flawless record of 12 points from all their fixtures.
Coach Hassan has judiciously handpicked only four overseas-based players for the qualifiers: midfielder Hamdi Fathi from Al-Wakrah, winger Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan from Al-Rayyan, winger Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt, and striker Mostafa Mohamed from Nantes.
Additionally, fresh talents have been injected into the squad for the upcoming matches, with the inclusion of Smouha's defender Mahmoud Ahmed Rabia and Ceramica Cleopatra's winger Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz Zalaka, alongside the return of Ahly's dynamic winger Taher Mohamed Taher.
