Hassan expressed confidence in the team's abilities during a press conference. He emphasized Egypt's parity with other national teams, citing the Moroccan national team's recent achievements.
"Our primary goal is to reach the World Cup and if we managed to make it we will be eager to show a strong performance in the World tournament," Hassan declared confidently.
Under Hassan's stewardship, the Pharaohs have secured a place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Morocco.
Egypt's rich footballing history, with seven African championship titles to their name, underscores their dominance in Group C with a flawless record of 12 points from all matches.
The team is gearing up to take on Cape Verde in the fifth round of the AFCON qualifiers this Friday. Just four days later, it will play Botswana at home.
Egypt lead Group A in the 2026 Africa World Cup qualifiers with ten points from four games, holding a four-point advantage over second-placed Guinea-Bissau.
Burkina Faso follows closely in third place with five points, on par with Sierra Leone, while Ethiopia sits in fifth with three points. Djibouti trails at the bottom with just one point.
