The national team will be departing Cairo on Wednesday at 04:00pm.

The Pharaohs are set to clash with Cape Verde in the fifth round of the AFCON qualifiers this Friday before returning home to host Botswana in the sixth round four days later.

Ahly midfielder Marwan Attia and Al Rayyan's winger Mahmoud Trezeguet are already serving a suspension due to getting two successive yellow cards. Meanwhile, coach Hassan opted to rest in-form Eintracht Frankfurt's winger Omar Marmoush.

According to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the trio should be ready for the second game against Botswana at home.

Under the guidance of coach Hassan, seven-time African champions Egypt have already secured a place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Morocco.

They currently top Group C with a flawless record of 12 points from all their fixtures.

Botswana follow closely in second place with six points, while Cape Verde and Mauritania are in third and fourth place, each with three points.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the finals, setting the stage for an intense competition.
