The narcotics included hashish, hydro, opium, cocaine, strox, and other types of tablets, along with numerous acres of hydro plants.

The forces have also confiscated weapons and ammunition of various calibres and foiled multiple attempts to illegally mine gold ore through raids and joint patrols, the statement added.

Additionally, they have thwarted infiltration and irregular migration attempts by individuals of different nationalities across the country's strategic borders.

The statement also pointed out that the Border Guard Forces have seized goods without customs clearance through intensified patrols and ambushes along border routes.

In coordination with other branches of the Egyptian Armed Forces, the border guards have successfully targeted criminals and smugglers, thwarting plans to undermine Egypt's national security in all strategic directions, it added.
