A report from the British sports analytics company Opta highlighted Marmoush’s remarkable start to the season.
The 24-year-old has scored 11 Bundesliga goals and provided seven assists in ten games, contributing to 17 of the club's 26 Bundesliga goals so far.
In all competitions, he has netted 14 goals and offered ten assists, surpassing compatriot Mohamed Salah, the only player among Europe’s top five leagues to have double figures in both goals and assists, with ten in each at Liverpool.
Marmoush has attracted attention with his clinical sense of scoring, as his 11 Bundesliga goals have come from just 5.5 expected goals.
He is also distinguished in set pieces, becoming the first player since Lionel Messi in 2019 to score from direct free-kicks in three consecutive competitive matches after his goals against Slavia Prague in the Europa League and Stuttgart and Bochum in the Bundesliga
.
Despite playing fewer minutes as a striker this season (68% compared to 85% last term), Marmoush has maintained his attacking output, excelling as both a provider and a scorer.
His partnership with French striker Hugo Ekitiké has been particularly fruitful, with Marmoush assisting five of Ekitiké’s nine goals this season.
His versatility extends beyond scoring goals; his ball-carrying statistics highlight his creative influence.
No Bundesliga forward has made as many carries (126) or turned more into shots (16). This dynamic playstyle makes him a real threat, as reflected by his league-leading 37 fouls won this season.
