The industrial complex will have essential utilities, infrastructure, and services to support various industrial and service facilities and plug-and-play factories.
The development will be done in partnership with Orascom Industrial Parks, a joint venture between Orascom Construction (holding 60.5 percent) and a group of financial companies and investors.
This expansion is the latest phase of Orascom’s successful investments in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, which spans 10 km².
Moataz El-Demerdash, CEO of the Building Materials & Services Division at Orascom Construction, noted that the project aims to promote sustainable economic growth and attract more global investors. By its completion, it is estimated to create over 30,000 job opportunities.
Walid Gamal El-Din, the chairman of SCZone, explained that this development reflects the strengthened partnership between SCZone and its industrial developers, highlighting the success of previous collaborations.

He added that this project aligns with the authority’s vision of establishing integrated industrial zones through public-private partnerships, creating an attractive environment for local and international investments.
The partnership will diversify Egypt's production base and boost exports, particularly in key industrial and service sectors targeted by the authority.
He further noted that SCZone is progressing steadily towards establishing itself as one of the world’s leading hubs for industry and logistics.
According to Gamal El-Din, this goal will be achieved through close collaboration with industrial developers, who are instrumental in completing the necessary infrastructure and facilities to meet global market demands and the needs of both local and regional investors.
