He commented on what he saw in a short video posted on his X account on Saturday.

23:00 Qassam Brigades launched a salvo of rockets against Israeli targets in the Envelope of Gaza on Saturday.

The rockets were launched from Khan Younis in the southern part of the strip.

Meanwhile, Qassam posted videos of what it described as a 'special operation' that targeted Israeli soldiers posted on the roof of a building in Khan Younis with Yassin RPGs.

On the other side, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on various parts of the strip on Saturday, including in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza and Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and Gaza City in northern Gaza, leaving tens of civilians dead and injured.

The Israeli army continued blocking all humanitarian aid to northern Gaza and elsewhere in the strip.

22:00 Thousands of Israelis marched outside the Israeli Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv to demand an immediate ceasefire and a prisoner swap deal with Hamas on Saturday evening.

21:30 Hezbollah targeted the Shraga military base, home to the administrative headquarters of the Golani Brigades, near Askelon with a salvo of drones on Saturday afternoon.

The Lebanese group hit Shraga with drones on Wednesday.

21:00 ICC orders are binding, and “EU governments cannot choose to disregard arrest warrants," EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said in a forum in Cyprus on Saturday.

“International criminal law obligations also apply to countries aspiring to join the EU."

Borrell, who has called on multiple occasions for an end to the Israeli war in Gaza, added that “Criticizing Israeli government policies shouldn't be equated with anti-Semitism,”

Last week, Borrell urged EU ministers on Monday to suspend a political dialogue with Israel -- part of a wider agreement governing trade ties -- over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

20:45 Al-Awda Hospital reports 6 Palestinians killed, mostly dismembered, and 3 injured from an Israeli airstrike targeting the Abu Seif family home in Nuseirat, central Gaza, Quds News Network account on X platform reported.

20:25 Lebanon's health ministry said Israeli air strikes on the east and south of the country killed at least 30 people on Saturday.

At least 16 were killed in the east, among them eight in Shmostar in Baalbek in east Lebanon, the ministry said.

And in the south at least 14 were killed, including five in the coastal city of Tyre, it added.

Meanwhile, the death toll in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Basta in central Beirut earlier today rose to 20 with 66 wounded.

20:05 Hamas said Saturday a female Israeli captive had been killed in Israeli airstrikes and bombardment in northern Gaza.

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson of Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated that contact had been restored with the woman's captors after a break of several weeks before she was killed.

He added that another female Israeli captive in the same area faces imminent danger due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment.

Since early October, Israeli airstrikes have levelled tens of residential buildings in various towns and refugee camps in northern Gaza, killing hundreds of civilians and wounding hundreds more as the army pushes forward with attempts to cleanse the area ethnically.

Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip has killed tens of Israelis and others who were taken captive by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups on 7 October 2023, according to various reports.

“The enemy must prepare to deal with the disappearance of the bodies of its dead prisoners due to the widespread destruction,” Abu Obeida said.

“War criminal Netanyahu, his government and army leaders insist on causing suffering and killing of their prisoners and must bear full responsibility for the lives of their prisoners.”

“After contact was restored with those charged with protecting prisoners, it became clear that one of the enemy's female prisoners was killed in an area subjected to aggression in northern Gaza.”

An estimated  50-100 Israeli captives are believed to remain alive in captivity in the strip.

Despite multiple mediation efforts and pleas from the families of Israeli captives, the Israeli government, led by Netanyahu, has refused to agree to a ceasefire/prisoner swap deal with Hamas, opting to forge ahead with its genocidal war on the strip.

It said Israeli troops had dynamited houses and were "trying to surround the town from all sides using extensive air and ground cover".

Hezbollah said its fighters attacked Israeli troops about 20 times in and around the strategic town in the past 48 hours.

18:30 The elderly in Gaza are facing unimaginable suffering amid the ongoing Israeli genocide.

He also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the Lebanese Armed Forces and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) personnel, which are positioned to maintain peace in the south of the country and have been "deliberately" targeted by Israel.

They also discussed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where Austin urged Israel to take immediate steps to address the dire conditions faced by civilians in the war-torn Palestinian territory, exacerbated by 13 months of deadly Israeli airstrikes, blockades, and severe shortages of food, medicine, and basic resources.

15:04 State of Passion: Ghassan Abu Sitta, a biographical film about a British-Palestinian surgeon Ghassan Abu Sitta, who struggled for years to save lives in Gaza, won three prestigious awards at the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), which concluded Friday.

The film focuses on the life of Dr. Abu Sitta (b. 1969), a British-Palestinian plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose family was displaced from Palestine's Beersheba in 1948 and relocated to Khan Younis in Gaza.

Abu Sitta, who graduated from the University of Glasgow, served as head of the plastic surgery department at the American University of Beirut from 2012 to 2021 and continues to work with the National Institute for Health Research in the UK.

State of Passion offers a biographical glimpse into the life of this renowned doctor, capturing personal moments with his family, wife and mother while never straying from the overarching Palestinian struggle and the struggles faced by the people of Gaza under the brutal Israeli occupation.

The documentary highlights Abu Sitta's reflections on various experiences, including his most recent struggles in two separate hospitals in Gaza amid the current genocidal campaign on the strip, from managing the injured to anaesthetics and the harsh reality that doctors face.

Directed by Carol Mansour and Muna Khalidi, the film received the top honour in the Horizons of Arab Cinema section, winning the Saad Eldin Wahba Award for Best Arabic Film.

In addition to the major award, State of Passion was recognized as Best Documentary, sharing the award with the Egyptian film Abu Zaabal 89.

The film also received a Special Mention from the jury in the CIFF's section dedicated to Palestinian cinema.

14:51 Lebanon’s National News Agency is reporting that Israeli warplanes have launched a new raid on Hadath.

14:28 The arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant continue to generate significant international reactions. In the past two days, several key figures and nations have weighed in, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan being the latest to voice his support.

Erdogan praised the ICC's decision, describing it as a "courageous move" and urging all member states of the Rome Statute to act on the warrants. "We support the arrest warrant. We consider it important that this courageous decision be carried out by all member states to restore humanity's trust in the international system," Erdogan said during a speech in Istanbul on Saturday.

He added that international organizations and international media "turn a blind eye to crimes against humanity" in Palestine and Lebanon.

Turkey's position follows similar commitments from countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and several European nations. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau affirmed his country’s dedication to international law, stating that his country would "abide" by the arrest. "We stand up for international law, and we will abide by all the regulations and rulings of the international courts," he said.

Netanyahu faces arrest if he travels to the UK, as No 10 Downing Street reiterated its support for the court. A UK government spokesman refused to comment on the specific case but said the government would fulfil its "legal obligations" under the International Criminal Court Act 2001, which requires compliance with ICC arrest warrants.

The ICC issued the warrants on Thursday, accusing Netanyahu and Gallant of crimes against humanity and war crimes in Gaza, including the use of "starvation as a method of warfare," as well as systematic attacks on civilians. The court’s decision has effectively restricted the Israeli leaders from travelling to any of the 124 signatories of the Rome Statute, where they could face arrest.

It added that 63 people had been wounded and that rescuers were still removing the rubble.

12:06 The Israeli occupation forces have escalated their crackdown across the West Bank, detaining at least 15 Palestinians in a series of overnight raids that targeted Hebron, Tulkarm, Jenin, Qalqilya, Bethlehem, and Nablus. Among those arrested were former prisoners, adding to the growing list of detainees in what is becoming a relentless campaign of suppression.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Society and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs have,  in a joint statement, condemned the raid, highlighting the abuse suffered by the Palestinians, WAFA reported. "Along with the arrests, Israeli forces subjected detainees and their families to physical violence, threats, and the destruction of their property."

These detentions are part of Israel’s ongoing mass detention policy, which has surged since the beginning of its war on Gaza in October 2023.

Raja Awis, the Secretary of Fatah in Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, said that a mob of Israeli colonists uprooted around 50 olive trees on land near the road connecting Ramallah and Nablus in the occupied West Bank, which is owned by Palestinian citizens.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian man has been shot and injured by Israeli forces following an attack carried out by Israeli settlers on Palestinian homes in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that Israeli forces and terrorist colonists carried out 1,490 attacks in October alone. Most of these attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, with 307 attacks, Hebron with 280 attacks, and Jerusalem with 179 attacks.

Since 2 a.m. local time, loud artillery shelling has been heard, marking the ongoing Israeli ground invasion. Israeli forces appear to have advanced towards al-Bayada, with the aim of cutting off coastal lines in Naqoura.

09:05 Beirut woke to devastation as Israel launched a direct strike on a bustling residential area, killing at least four people and injuring 23 others.

"The Israeli enemy strike on Basta al-Fawqa in Beirut killed four people and injured 23 others," Lebanon's health ministry said in a statement, giving a preliminary toll.

Rescuers were still "removing the rubble", it added.

Agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP that "19 people were killed and more than 40 others wounded in three massacres caused by Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip between midnight and this morning", as well as by tank fire in Rafah in the territory's south.

Israeli strikes also hit Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of the few hospitals still partially operating in the northernmost part of Gaza, wounding nine medical staff and damaging its generator and oxygen systems, its director said.

Hossam Abu Safiya said strikes before dawn Friday hit the entrance of the emergency unit as well as in the hospital courtyard. He said six staff were wounded, including two critically. Friday night, he said an armed drone hit the entrance again, wounding three staffers.

The hospital is currently treating 85 wounded, 14 children in the pediatric ward and four newborns in the neonatal unit, he said. Abu Safiya said the strikes caused damage to the functioning of the generator and disrupted oxygen supplies.

During the past month, Kamal Adwan Hospital has been hit several times, was put under siege and was raided by Israeli troops, who are waging a heavy offensive in the nearby Jabalia refugee camp and towns of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya.
