The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) also expects a temperature drop of 4-5 degrees Celsius across most of the country's regions.
Moreover, it forecasted strong active winds to pick up across most areas, reaching a speed of 40-50 km/h, making the weather feel even colder, especially on Sunday.
The authority added that wind could stir up sand and dust, particularly in South Sinai and parts of Egypt's deep south, at intermittent intervals.
Therefore, the EMA advises citizens to dress warmly or carry a jacket when going out, avoid billboards and unstable structures, and wear masks for those with allergies or sinus conditions.
The authority also expected severe turbulence in the Mediterranean and Red Seas, advising that all maritime activities be suspended on Sunday and Monday. Wave heights are expected to reach 4-6 metres in the Mediterranean and 3-4 metres in the Red Sea.
On Monday, intermittent wind activity will occur over most regions. Light rainfall is also expected at intervals over the northern coasts, the northern parts of the Nile Delta, and the southern Red Sea Mountains.
Similarly, most regions will encounter intermittent wind activity from Tuesday to Friday. Intermittent light rainfall is also expected over the northern coasts and parts of the Nile Delta.
From Sunday to Friday, Cairo and the Nile Delta will experience daytime highs of 20-22 degrees and nighttime lows of 14-15 degrees.
Along the northern coasts, temperatures will be slightly cooler, with daytime highs of 19-20 degrees and nighttime lows of 14-16 degrees throughout the week.
The weather will be warmer in northern Upper Egypt. Daytime highs will peak at 24 degrees on Sunday, fluctuate throughout the week, and drop to 22 degrees on Friday, while nighttime temperatures will range from 11 to 12 degrees.
Egypt's deep south will see the warmest conditions, with daytime highs reaching 29 degrees on Sunday and declining to 24 degrees by Friday. However, nighttime lows will range between 14 and 15 degrees.
