Israel airstrikes kill 12 across Gaza raising death toll to over 44,200

At least 12 civilians were killed and dozens more injured on Monday in Israeli airstrikes across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said five people were killed and several others wounded in Israeli air raids targeting a civilian gathering in the Jabalia Al-Nazla area, in the northern part of the strip.

Two civilians were killed and others injured in another strike near the entrance of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza.

Israeli artillery also shelled displaced people in the Al-Manshiya neighbourhood, near shelters in Beit Lahia, and in the Tal Al-Zaatar area of the Jabalia camp.

Another Palestinian was killed by Israeli drone fire in the Beit Lahia project area, north of the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, at least one Palestinian was killed and others injured in Israeli shelling of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

In the western part of Gaza City, an Israeli airstrike targeted the Al-Shati refugee camp. Local medical sources confirmed three casualties, adding that a number of injured have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from Israel's brutal military campaign, which began on 7 October 2023, has now reached 44,235 fatalities, mostly women and children, with 104,638 injuries.

This includes 24 people killed and 71 others injured in the past 24 hours.
