The Port Said-based club will be hosting their Nigerian counterparts in the first round of the group stage of Africa's secondary club competition.
On Saturday, Masry earned a precious 1-0 victory over Cairo giants Zamalek in the domestic league; to put them as joint leaders of the table with seven points.
"We have immediately tuned Zamalek page because we need to focus on the next game. We had little time to prepare but my players are ready for Enyimba," Coach Ali Maher told the pre-game press conference on Tuesday.
Masry have been placed in the same group along with defending champions Zamalek, Nigerian side Enyimba and Black Bulls Maputo from Mozambique.
"Enyimba is a very strong opponent who has a large experience in African soccer. Our objective is to advance to the next round, but we want to go as far as possible in the competition,” Maher added.
Masry’s best performance at the Confederation Cup date on 2018 when they advanced to the semi-finals before being eliminated after losing to Vita Club 4-0.
On the other side, the two time-African Champions League winners Enyimba will be eying their first victory in a while after holding to a draw in their last three league matches.
“It has been intense days of working ahead of our continental match against Masry in Egypt. We hope for a good outing in the group stage” Enyimba coach Yemi Olanrewaju was quoted a saying by Nigerian website Sports247 on Tuesday.
