The capital market gained nearly EGP 13 billion to end trading at EGP 2.212 trillion amid total transactions hitting EGP 46.6 billion.
The EGX 30 benchmark index increased by 1.33 percent to reach 30,242.13 points.
The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) rose by 0.34 percent to register 8,275.86 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 0.45 percent to close at 11,379.84 points.
