The Cairo powerhouse currently leads the league standings with seven points from three matches this season, securing two wins and a 1-1 disappointing draw with Ittihad of Alexandria.
On the other hand, NBE Club is struggling at the bottom of the table with just one point, having failed to secure a victory in their previous three league fixtures.
Unfortunately for Ahly, the talented Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali's absence continues as he nurses an instep injury sustained during national team duty.
In addition, Taher Mohamed Taher, who has been in fine form with five goals in ten appearances, including two in the Egyptian league, will be unavailable due to a one-game suspension following three yellow cards.
In the absence of Abou Ali and Taher, forwards Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneim and a South African striker stand as potential candidates to step up and fill the void.
Midfielder Emam Ashour will also miss Ahly's squad for the game after reportedly being handed a one-week suspension and a fine of EGP 1 million for "misconduct".
Moreover, Ahly's coach Marcel Koller has excluded veteran goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy from the team's squad for the NBE Club game.
Conversely, NBE Club is determined to secure its first victory of the season after a challenging start. They suffered a 3-0 defeat against Zamalek, followed by a goalless draw against Pharco FC and a 3-1 loss to Pyramids FC on the third matchday.
The 2024/2025 Egyptian Premier League season kicked off in late October. The Egyptian Pro League (EPL) introduced a revamped format aimed at addressing past issues and ensuring a smooth and timely conclusion to the competition.
