NBE Club were the better side in the first half, and Ahly were lucky not to concede goals in the opening 45 minutes, thanks to an outstanding display by goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir.

He thwarted three clear chances from Togolese striker Yaw Anwar, who surprisingly missed a fourth opportunity in the 16th minute when his one-on-one effort against the Ahly keeper sailed wide.

On the other hand, Ahly had a clear chance in the 35th minute when defender Yasser Ibrahim rose above his marker to meet Yahia Attia Allah's corner cross with a well-placed header that narrowly missed the target.

Throughout the first half, the Red Devils delivered a lackluster performance, struggling to pose a real threat against a well-organized NBE Club side.

NBE Club striker Yasser Rayan was stretchered off just before halftime due to a clavicle fracture sustained in a collision with Ahly midfielder Marwan Atteya.

Ahly ramped up their attacks in the second half, with the team's coach introducing several offensive players like Amr El-Soulya, Reda Slim, and Omar Kamal, but the Swiss coach's tactics proved ineffective.

International defender Rami Rabie appeared to score in the 74th minute, but the goal was disallowed by the referee following a VAR review due to a handball by Rabie in the build-up.

The only significant threat came in the 83rd minute when Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneam missed a crucial opportunity as his well-placed curling shot was denied by the NBE Club keeper.

During the seven minutes of added time, Ahly's efforts lacked focus, and they failed to find the net, resulting in another two points dropped.

Despite the draw, Ahly remain at the top of the table with eight points, one point ahead of Masry and Pyramids FC, who are set to face off on Monday.
