Despite providing an assist to Cody Gakpo and converting a penalty in Liverpool's 2-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City at Anfield, Salah disclosed that he has not been presented with a new contract offer. Following the match, Salah expressed his feelings to Sky Sports, mentioning, "Honestly, it's in my head. Until now, this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool, so I was just going to enjoy it."

The 32-year-old forward, whose current contract expires this summer, emphasized that the uncertainty about his future at Liverpool remains, with no agreement reached between the two parties.

He hinted at the possibility of departing Anfield, stating,

"We are almost in December, and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club. I'm probably more out than in."

Salah continued, "You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December, and I haven't received anything yet about my future."

Despite the situation, Salah has been displaying exceptional performances since the start of the season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in 13 Premier League appearances.

Having joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Salah played a pivotal role in helping the team secure the Premier League title in 2019 and the UEFA Champions League in 2020.
