This came during his closing remarks at the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance the Humanitarian Response in Gaza, which brought together 17 foreign ministers, UN representatives, and delegates from around the world to mobilize global and regional support for Gaza's humanitarian crisis and address its political, security, and humanitarian challenges.

FM Abdelatty underscored Israel's responsibility to create secure conditions for the operation of humanitarian organizations, particularly UNRWA, which plays a crucial role in Gaza and across the Palestinian territories.

Egypt’s top diplomat also called for the activation of the international accountability mechanism to address the crimes committed against Palestinian civilians, asserting that no country is above the law.

Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's steadfast support for the Palestinian people in their rightful pursuit of self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with full sovereignty over its entire national territory, based on the 4 June 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He reiterated his call for countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to do so without delay and to support Palestine's full membership in the United Nations, considering it “a legitimate right by human rights and international law.”

Egypt firmly opposes any plan to displace Palestinians and liquidate the Palestinian cause, stressing that it would not accept any such attempts under any circumstances.

"Let today’s meeting be a clear declaration of the international community’s commitment to rejecting any efforts to create a de facto situation and to working toward ensuring that the Palestinian people can have the future they deserve, living in freedom, dignity, and peace," Abdelatty concluded his speech.

Titled "A Year of Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza: Urgent Needs and Sustainable Solutions," the conference was held amid the ongoing, unprecedented tragedy faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza due to the continuous, brutal Israeli war.

During the key event, Egypt called for immediate financial support to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, urging international pressure on Israel to open crossings.

Cairo also demanded Israel's immediate withdrawal from the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing and the Philadelphi corridor.
