The 32-year-old is nearing the final six months of his contract with Liverpool, sparking speculation about his future, with reports suggesting interest from top European clubs, including PSG.

However, Al-Khelaifi firmly denied these claims in an interview with Sky Sports Germany.

“It’s not true. He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him. Every club would love to have him, but this rumour about us is simply not true,” Al-Khelaifi stated.

The PSG president emphasized the Paris side’s focus on building a youthful team, highlighting their average squad age of 22.5 years. “We’re building a team for the future with our amazing coach,” he added.

Despite Al-Khelaifi’s comments, speculation around Salah’s future persists.

Mohamed Salah has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists for the Reds during 20 games across all competitions, maintaining his status as a key figure for the Anfield side.

However, he recently has expressed frustration over the lack of progress on a new contract.

Salah hinted that Liverpool’s clash with Manchester City could be his last major game at Anfield, intensifying transfer rumours; Liverpool manager Arne Slot downplayed the situation, refraining from public discussions about Salah’s contract.

From January, Salah will be free to negotiate with overseas clubs, potentially paving the way for a summer exit. Although PSG has ruled themselves out, other European giants are reportedly monitoring the situation.

Salah's potential departure would end a record-breaking nine-year tenure at Liverpool, where he has become one of the Premier League’s top scorers.
