In an interview with Al-Qahera News during his visit to Sudan on Tuesday, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's commitment to supporting Sudan's stability and peace efforts.
"Egypt hosted the first forum for Sudanese political and civil forces last July, which was a very significant meeting," Abdelatty said. "We now intend to host the second round with the participation of all Sudanese factions and political forces."
Cairo hosted the first round in July. The conference concluded with a unified call for peace and a comprehensive plan to address the ongoing crisis in Sudan.
The conference delegates also agreed to form a committee to advance discussions and efforts to achieve lasting peace in Sudan.
Abdelatty reiterated that Cairo is ready to contribute to initiatives to restore stability in Sudan, halt the ongoing conflict, and safeguard the lives of Sudanese citizens.
"Egypt stands prepared to support any effort that ends this war and spares the blood of our Sudanese brothers and sisters," he affirmed.
In addition, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of Sudanese sovereignty in resolving the crisis.
"We firmly reject any foreign interference or impositions," he said. "Solutions must be Sudanese-owned. Whatever consensus the Sudanese people reach will have Egypt's full support. We stand with Sudan and all its people."
During the visit, the foreign minister also delivered a message from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan. The message conveyed Egypt's solidarity with Sudan during these challenging times.
"The President entrusted me with a message of support and solidarity with Sudan and its institutions. Egypt will spare no effort to assist Sudan in resolving its current crisis," Abdelatty stated.
He also stressed the interconnectedness of Egyptian and Sudanese national security. "What affects Sudan affects Egypt. The two countries' national security is closely intertwined," he said.
During his one-day visit, Abdelatty met with Sudanese officials, including Chairman Al-Burhan, Foreign Minister Ali Youssef, and Finance Minister Gibril Ibrahim.
He also conferred with Sudan's Sovereignty Council Member Ibrahim Jaber, members of the Egyptian community in Sudan, and Sudanese business leaders.
