Cairo Celebration Choir and Orchestra

This is the 25th Christmas season for the Cairo Celebration Choir, which was founded in 2000 and is managed by Nayer Nagui.
Over the past years, the choir has given many concerts at the Cairo Opera House, becoming one of the core events celebrating the Christmas season at the opera.
The choir performs Christmas carols and songs, joined by soloists from the Cairo Opera House and beyond.
Christmas with KhaltaBeta

KhalteBeta will present its biggest Christmas concert ever, presenting popular festive songs and Christmas carols.
In this concert, KhaltaBeta will be joined by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Children Choir, led by Mireille Banoub.
Film Screening: Jesus of Nazareth

The event will showcase the first episode of a TV series directed by Italian filmmaker Franco Zeffirelli, whom critics have widely praised for his masterful dramatic presentation of biblical stories. Produced in 1977, the series achieved worldwide fame and became one of the most significant cinematic productions of its time.
Arabic subtitles accompany the screening.
Gala El-Hadidi's Christmas concert

Accompanied by the pianist Greig Martin, mezzo-soprano Gala El-Hadidi returns with her annual Christmas concert.
The Germany-based Egyptian singer made her debut at the age of 17 on the main stage of the Cairo Opera House, one year before signing a contract with the Opera House to become the youngest soloist ever at the company.
El-Hadidi studied with tenor Sobhi Bidair, Tom Krause in Finland, and Marylin Horne in the US. She also studied at the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart. She has worked with famous conductors, including Christian Thielemann, and with singers Juan-Diego Florez, Waltraud Meier, and Evelyn Herlitzius. She performed on stages, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Stuttgart Liederhalle, Auditorio Nacional di Madrid, Kennedy Centre, and Cadogan Hall in London.
Christmas Carols Choir

Al-Milad Musical

Al-Milad Musical retells the nativity story, brought to life by Campus Crusade for Christ—Egypt. The performance follows the Holy Family's journey, filled with challenges and joy.
Written by Ibrahim Maurice and Dalia Farid, Al-Milad Musical is directed by Rena Andrawes and produced by David Yowakim.
The musical features performers delivering live singing, interweaving songs with a moving theatrical narrative.
Messa di Glora by Puccini

Puccini's Messa di Gloria will be performed by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Gevor Sargsyan.
This sacred work is not specifically a Christmas Mass; however, it is often performed around Christmas time.
It is a sacred choral work composed by Puccini in 1880; its festive and grandiose nature makes it suitable for performance during the holiday season, especially in religious or classical music settings.
The Missa di Gloria includes uplifting and powerful music, which aligns with the celebratory spirit of Christmas. It is also commonly performed at church services, festivals, and concerts focusing on classical sacred music.
During the evening, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the A Cappella Choir, with Maya Gvineria as choirmaster.
The evening will feature a D minor Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, with Mona Ghobrial as solo flute.

The Nutcracker ballet

Marius Petipa choreographed the ballet, an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, which is adapted from E.T.A. Hoffman's original story.
The tale follows a young girl who dreams of toys that come to life as the clock strikes midnight. The Nutcracker, given to her by a mysterious magician, transforms into a prince who must save the toys from an army of mice led by the fearsome rat king.
The Nutcracker has a unique history in Egypt, where the Cairo Opera Ballet company's late director, Abdel Moneim Kamel, reworked the masterpiece to add his touch of artistry.
Tablet El-Sitt Christmas concert

The troupe consists of women percussionists.
Founded by folk music student and enthusiast Soha Mohamed in 2019, the group recalls Egypt's musical heritage.
Elmes Edena Christmas & New Year concert

Elmes Edena Band embraces musicians from all walks of life who are deeply connected to spirituality. They perform for listeners of both religions, Muslims and Christians.
The band performed across Egypt, including churches, monasteries, performing spaces and even street performance spaces.

Wael Jassar - New Year Eve celebration

Jassar, 47, is known for his romantic songs and has released several albums including Wahashni and El Hobb El Akid.
He is also known to sing various theme songs for TV series and films.
El-Hallani served as judge on the Arabic version of the reality show The Voice.
Cairo Symphony Orchestra New Year's concert

Conducted by Juan José Navarro, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will perform the hallmark New Year repertoire, including works from the Strauss family, Franz Lehár, E. Kálmán, and J. Offenbach.
The soloist of the evening is soprano Laura Esposito.
