The Egyptian side currently sits in second place in the standings with three points, trailing Esperance ST of Tunisia by just one point.
Esperance ST played to a scoreless draw against Angola's Sagrada Esperanca in their recent fixture.
In their inaugural group stage match, Pyramids FC dominated Sagrada with a resounding 5-1 victory, while Djoliba AC suffered a significant 4-0 defeat at the hands of Esperance.
Ahead of the crucial encounter, Pyramids FC coach Krunoslav Jurcic acknowledged Djoliba AC's strengths, stating, "We are well aware of Djoliba AC's quality, having closely observed their match against Esperance. Despite their recent loss to Esperance, they boast a squad filled with talented players."
Expressing his team's determination, Jurcic affirmed, "Our objective in Mali is clear - we are here to secure a victory."
Pyramids FC will be without the services of key players such as goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy, winger Ibrahim Adel, and midfielders Youssef Ibrahim and Sodiq Awujoola.
Despite these absences, Jurcic emphasised their ambition, saying, "Even without these players, we are focused on securing a top spot in the tournament."
