The Norway visit is the second leg of President El-Sisi's European tour, which started on Saturday with a visit to Denmark.

During the visit, El-Sisi will meet Norway’s King Harald V, the Norwegian prime minister, the Storting (the Norwegian Parliament) president, and lawmakers.

Moreover, the president will hold one-on-one meetings with heads of a number of Norwegian companies operating in Egypt.

He is also set to attend the signing of a number of cooperation agreements between the two countries.

President El-Sisi will conclude his European tour with a visit to Dublin, Ireland, where he will meet with the country’s president and prime minister.

During his visit to Denmark, El-Sisi and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen inked a Strategic Partnership Declaration and several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in many areas, such as energy and combatting irregular migration.

Furthermore, he and King Frederik X of Denmark launched the Egypt-Denmark Business Council in the presence of several businessmen and CEOs of Egyptian and Danish companies.

The president said this council is a gateway for Danish economic and commercial bodies to explore investment opportunities in Egypt.

El-Sisi also invited Danish investors to establish projects in Egypt in sectors of mutual interest, thereby contributing to boosting Danish investments in the country and building successful partnerships.

"This aligns with Egypt’s ambition to become a regional hub for supply chains and the transport and trade of renewable and green energy, leveraging its geographic proximity, strategic location, and investment-friendly zones," he noted.
