The CBE reported closing foreign exchange rates of EGP 50.17/$1 for buying and EGP 50.31/$1 for selling.
Last week, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said the dollar's value has varied by four to five percent since Egypt implemented a flexible exchange rate in March, fluctuating between EGP 47 and EGP 49 per dollar. He also noted that similar fluctuations are expected in the coming months, depending on the dollar's demand.
On Sunday, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) reported the highest dollar exchange rates: EGP 50.18/$1 for buying and EGP 50.28/$1 for selling.
Meanwhile, the Arab African International Bank (AAIB) reported rates of EGP 50.28/$1 for buying and EGP 50.18/$1 for selling.
The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr also reported rates of EGP 50.27/$1 for buying and EGP 50.17/$1 for selling.
Euro
According to the CBE, the euro also increased by 0.80 percent to EGP 53.18 per euro for selling, compared to EGP 52.76 per euro on Thursday.
Moreover, it reached EGP 53.04 per euro compared to EGP 52.61 per euro for buying.
The CIB also reported the highest euro exchange rates, with EGP 53.44 per euro for selling and EGP 52.89 per euro for buying.
The AAIB reported EGP 53.44 per euro for buying and EGP 52.90 per euro for selling.
The NBE and Banque Misr also reported EGP 53.43 per euro for selling and EGP 52.89 per euro for buying.
