The Cairo giants came out strong, with Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri breaking the deadlock for Zamalek in the 33rd minute, courtesy of a superb assist from Mahmoud Bentayg inside the box.

Just seven minutes later, Omar Faraj extended the lead with a close-range finish, capitalizing on another defensive blunder to score his first goal with the Whites.

However, Enyimba fought back before halftime, with Ifeanyi Ihemekwele scoring past the onrushing keeper Mohamed Awad to narrow the gap to 2-1.

In the second half, Ufere Chinedu salvaged a point for the hosts with a deflected strike outside the penalty area in the 58th minute.

Enyimba couldn't break through Zamalek's defence to secure a win despite their efforts.

With this draw, Zamalek temporarily leads Group D with four points, edging out Egyptian counterparts Masry by one point who will play Black Bulls of Mozambique later on Sunday.

Zamalek are scheduled to face Masry in the third round of Group D fixtures on 15 December, while Enyimba will visit the Black Bulls on the same day.
